The Buddhism

The essence of buddha’s foundational preaching was said to be four ultimate realities:

  1. Life is fundamentally —disappointing and the suffering.
  2. The suffering is a consequence of a person’s desire for pleasure, power and continuity of existence.
  3. Thus, to put an end to the disappointment and the suffering one must stop desiring.
  4. Below mentioned are the ways to stop desiring and thus suffering is the noble eight-fold path:
    i. Right View
    ii. Right Intention
    iii. Right Action
    iv. Right Speech
    v. Right Livelihood
    vi. Right Effort
    vii. Right Mindfulness
    viii. Right Concentration
By following these eight noble principles of life, one may achieve Nirvana- the state of release from the sufferings of the world.
